GILMORE LAKE ASSOCIATION: Gilmore Lake Aquatic Plant Management Plan

Purpose

The Gilmore Lake Association is sponsoring a project to study appropriate EWM management and treatment and update their APM plan. Project final deliverables include: 1. Final Report summarizing accomplishments/progress of the grant including multiple survey results, survey maps, removal/treatment determination and planning results, outreach activities including agendas and minutes for planning meetings, and mailings. 2. Financial Payment Request with documentation of grant administration time and services, contributions, financial match, proof of payment of expenditures, and organizations providing financial support. 3. Updated APM Plan for 2023-2028 4. Additional related items paid by this grant. Specific project activities include: Project includes multiple surveys of native plants and EWM beds, determine plant diversity and maps, hold Planning Meetings to compare 2023 surveys to previous surveys to determine appropriate control method using chemical herbicide and/or physical removal (hand pulling/diver/DASH), develop a 2023-2028 APM plan, Final Report. Special Conditions: APM plan must be submitted for approval by September 15, 2023 before an AIS Control Grant be submitted. This scope summarizes the project detail provided in the application and does not negate tasks/deliverables described therein. Data, records, reports, GIS-based maps, and digital images must be submitted to DNR in a format specified by the regional Lake Biologist. If consultant provides final report, it is recommended Grantee provide DNR Lake Coordinator with a draft for comment on report adequacy prior to making final payment to the consultant. DNR to receive both paper and electronic .pdf copies of the final report along with, or prior to submission of grantee's final payment request.
