Purpose
The Pesobic Lake Association (PLA) is sponsoring a project which will focus on updating aquatic plant and aquatic invasive species (AIS) information and collecting shoreland and shallows habitat data. This information will be used to create an Aquatic Plant Management Plan (APMP) for Pesobic Lake.
Project final deliverables include: 1) Data from aquatic plant survey, shoreland and shallows habitat surveys, AIS survey; 2) Education meetings and materials; 4) Annual reports; and 5) an APMP including a shoreland restoration and protection strategy and AIS rapid response plan.
Specific project activities include: 1) Conduct an aquatic plant point-intercept (PI) survey (following DNR protocol); 2) Conduct shoreland and shallows habitat surveys (following DNR protocol); 3) Conduct AIS survey (following DNR protocol); 4) Develop an (APMP) including a shoreland restoration and protection strategy and AIS rapid response plan.
Special Conditions: 1) DNR Lake Biologist will be provided with a copy of reports and/or management plans; data from aquatic plant, shoreland and shallows habitat (including parcel photos), and AIS surveys; all maps and GIS data; and 2) DNR Lake Biologist will be invited to management planning meetings.
This scope summarizes the project detail provided in the application and does not negate tasks/deliverables described therein. Data, records, and reports, including GIS-based maps, and digital images, must be submitted to the Department in a format specified by the regional Lake Biologist.
