Purpose
The Red Lake Association is sponsoring a project to conduct whole lake PI Survey, map EWM beds, determine best methods of EWM management, monitor for AIS, public education & awareness, and update the APM Plan
Project final deliverables include:
1. Final Report summarizing accomplishments/progress of the grant including PI results, meandering survey results, EWM maps, removal/treatment determination and planning results, necessary permits, report on AIS removal and/or treatment, CLMN data, outreach activities including photos of signage, agendas and minutes for planning meetings, and mailings.
2. Financial Payment Request with documentation of grant administration time and services, contributions, financial match, proof of payment of expenditures.
3. CLMN readings enter in SWIMS
4. Updated APM Plan for 2023-2028
Specific project activities include:
Project includes PI survey, meandering survey, mapping EWM beds, determine appropriate control method using chemical herbicide and/or physical removal (hand pulling/diver/DASH), obtain necessary permits , expanded water quality monitoring (CLMN), public education & awareness, and updating APM Plan.
Special Conditions: Review effectiveness of various herbicides to determine best usage.
