LAKE REDSTONE PROTECTION DISTRICT: LMI-Meadowlark Weir Replacement

Purpose
The Lake Redstone Protection District is sponsoring a project to replace the Meadowlark Weir with stone gabion baskets backed by heavy riprap. Project final deliverables include: A written report of documenting the project activities with before and after installment pictures of the stone gabion baskets. The written report will outline the maintenance schedule for the gabion baskets. Specific project activities include: The project will replace the aging sheet metal weir with and replace it with gabion baskets backed by heavy riprap. Special Conditions: The project will require a standard Operation and Maintenance agreement of 20 years. All permits must be issued before construction, and all regulatory requirements apply. This scope summarizes the project detail provided in the application and does not negate tasks/deliverables described therein. Data, records, and reports, including GIS-based maps, and digital images, must be submitted to the Department in a format specified by the regional Lake Biologist.
