Purpose
The Lake Redstone Protection District is sponsoring a sediment reduction project in Chickadee bay of Lake Redstone by creating a sediment basin with a controlled outlet structure. Project final deliverables include: 1. Creation of a sediment basin with a controlled outlet structure. 2. A final report detailing reductions in total suspended solids (TSS) documented with the model WinSLAMM. reductions in total phosphorus (TP) using the model PRESTO, and before & after photos will be sent to the regional lakes coordinator (Arthur.watkinson@wisconsin.gov) and the environmental grants specialist (gina.keenan@wisconsin.gov). Specific project activities include: A sediment basin will be excavated; A controlled outlet structure will be installed; WinSLAMM and PRESTO models will be used to document reductions in TSS and TP. Special Conditions: All permits must be issued before construction, and all regulatory requirements apply. The project will require a standard Operation and Maintenance agreement of 20 years. This scope summarizes the project detail provided in the application and does not negate tasks/deliverables described therein. Data, records, and reports, including GIS-based maps, and digital images, must be submitted to the Department in a format specified by the regional Lake Biologist.
