SILVER LAKE MANAGEMENT DISTRICT: Silver Lake Water Quality Monitoring

Purpose

The Silver Lake Management District will collect water quality samples to determine if a tributary to Silver Lake is contributing significant nutrient loading to the lake. Sampling will take place on seven separate days. Two or three of the sampling events will be low flow and the rest of the sampling events will take place 12 to 24 hours after a storm. Sampling will take place along 5 sites on the tributary and the deep hole of Silver Lake. Samples will be analyzed by the UW-Stevens Point water quality lab. The project deliverable will be a summary report that contains the raw data, analysis of the data, conclusions that can be drawn from the data and recommendations, if any, for future actions.
