KANGAROO LAKE ASSOCIATION, INC.: Kangaroo Lake Aquatic Plant Management Plan - South Basin Phase2

Purpose

The Kangaroo Lake Association is sponsoring a project to update the aquatic plant portion of the Kangaroo Lake Comprehensive Lake Management Plan. Activities: 1) Collect current aquatic plant data on Kangaroo Lake south basin which includes a whole-lake point-intercept survey, an aquatic plant community survey, and a late-season EWM mapping survey; 2) Development of a report describing the current aquatic plant community in Kangaroo Lake and changes based on comparisons with historic data with specific attention to assessing the effectiveness of the on-going plant protection and restoration efforts in Kangaroo Lake. Deliverables: 1) all data collected 2) agendas and meeting minutes for planning meetings 3) a report that includes methodologies, results, and management alternatives discussion. Conditions: 1) Aquatic plant monitoring shall follow DNR approved protocols. 2) WDNR\2019s Aquatic Plant Management in Wisconsin guidance shall be followed for aquatic plant monitoring and aquatic plant management plan development. This scope summarizes details provided in the application and does not negate tasks and/or deliverables described therein. Data, reports, surveys, and supporting information, including photos, maps and GIS data, must be submitted to the DNR Biologist in electronic format and in any other format they specify. If a consultant provides a final report, it is recommended that the Grantee provide the DNR Biologist with a draft for comment on report adequacy prior to making a final payment to the consultant. Include electronic copy of the final report along with or prior to submission of grantee's final payment request.
