TOWN OF WABENO: North Branch Oconto River restoration at Cavour St.

Purpose

Town of Wabeno is sponsoring a project to replace the undersized Cavour St. crossing (N Br. Oconto) w a new crossing to accommodate natural river bankfull width. Activities: 1) Gather site data + design a new road crossing structure following stream simulation design standards 2) Conduct Geotech. analysis to determine most cost-effective design for bottomless structure 3) Submit project for constr. bidding + permit 4) Construction Deliverables: 1) Pre-Constr. photos of bridge + river from and towards US/DS crossing from multiple angles w adequate descr. captions 2) Copies of A) any applicable site data, Geotech. Analysis, Stream Sim. Analyses/results used for design, and B) copies of final proposed eng. Plans 3) Copy of As-Built report w stream pattern, profile, dimensions, post-constr. photos (same criteria as #1), and post-constr. GL Str. Cr inv, NRCS AOP Std. 396,+ addl. results. Conditions: 1) Enter data collected into SWIMS database under grant project number 2) Progress rpt. shall be incl. w ea. reimbursement request; 1-2 para. desc. project status, incl. milestones, accomplishments, any roadblocks 3) Provide DNR Fish Biol., WQ Biol., and EA Spec. A) final proposed project design for review + approval before constr. bidding begins B) min. 2 wk pre notice of est. const. start date 4) Provide evidence of 20yr op. & maint. plan recorded on property deed(s) 5) Assess success w GL Rd Strm Crossing Inv. Method, NRCS AOP Std. 396, + other methods 6) DNR logo shall be used for promo + publicity + DNR recognized as a funding source 7) Provide post- (pre- optional) tour(s) of project area to DNR staff + other partners This scope summarizes details provided in the application and does not negate tasks and/or deliverables described therein.
