
Purpose
The Harry and Laura Nohr Chapter of Trout Unlimited is sponsoring a streambank and habitat restoration project on the Blue River on a DNR Fisheries Easement on the Straka property.
Activities: 1) Complete installation of structures described in NRCS construction plan including 2 vortex weirs, 1 cross channel log, 1 rock deflector, stream crossing, and backwater refuges 2) Complete bank shaping, approximately 965 linear feet at 5:1 slope and 290 feet at 3:1 slope 3) Armor banks with riprap at locations described in plan 4) Complete proper erosion control measures by mulching and seeding site 5) Conduct summer intern program with UWP students who survey the stream as possible to determine stream characteristics, fish populations, and macroinvertebrates present.
Deliverables: 1) Project completed according to plan 2) Provide link to website that provides the data collected by UWP students 3) Pre/post photographs and final project summary report.
Conditions:
1) A progress report shall be included with each reimbursement request.
2) Complete Land Use Agreement for any work to be conducted on DNR-owned property prior to ground disturbance.
3) Provide final project designs and locations to DNR Fisheries Biologist for review before construction begins.
4) Must comply with all permit conditions and timing restrictions.

Data, reports, surveys, and supporting information, including photos, maps and GIS data, must be submitted to the DNR Biologist in electronic format and in any other format they specify.
