OZAUKEE COUNTY: RES - Tendick Creek Stream Restoration

Purpose
Ozaukee County Planning and Parks Department is seeking to remeander and restore a 905 foot reach of Tendick Creek in Ozaukee County, WI. The project will restore access to high quality, instream, wetland and floodplain habitat to improve the sustainability, population recovery, and biological and ecological diversity of aquatic and semi-aquatic communities. Activities: 1) Secure applicable permits for project as described in D.1.(a). of application 2) complete construction and restoration of approximately 905 feet of stream channel through remeandering, floodplain reconnection, and installation of fish and wildlife habitat structures. 3) conduct vegetation restoration throughout project area, including native seeding and planting of seedlings and medium to large riparian trees and shrubs. Deliverables: Restoration of 905 feet Tendick Creek per final design plans. A digital copy of a project report shall be submitted. Report shall include a summary of all activities conducted under this grant, and include material deliverables as described in D.1.(a); D.1.(b); and D.1.(c) of the application. This scope summarizes details provided in the application and does not negate tasks and/or deliverables described therein. Data, reports, surveys, and supporting information, including photos, maps and GIS data, must be submitted to the DNR Biologist in electronic format and in any other format they specify.
