
Purpose
The Unified Lower Eagle Chain of Lakes Commission (ULERCLC) is sponsoring a project to continue coordinated EWM management using manual and mechanical harvesting, as well as assess the overall plant community.
Activities: 1) Early-season AIS (ESAS) survey 2) manually and mechanically harvest (using DASH) EWM 3) conduct late-season peak-biomass mapping surveys for EWM 4) assess the overall aquatic plant community using a PI 5) volunteer monitoring for AIS incl EWM, PL, GYL, etc. 6) CBCW and continued participation in the Pink Bucket Program 7) present results and preliminary management strategy at annual ULERCLC meeting and in annual reports
Deliverables: 1) annual monitoring and management data, maps, and reports 2) annual AIS Monitoring and Control Strategy Assessment report 3) aquatic plant data from PI 4) present updates/results of management, monitoring, and volunteer efforts at annual ULERCLC meetings and upload to website 5) enter CBCW data on SWIMS 6) report new AIS findings to Vilas County and the WDNR
Conditions:
1) All monitoring shall follow DNR protocols
2) Invite DNR to annual meeting to discuss the coming management activities
3) Enter AIS monitoring and CBCW data into SWIMS
This scope summarizes details provided in the application and does not negate tasks and/or deliverables described therein. Data, reports, surveys, and supporting information, including photos, maps and GIS data, must be submitted to the DNR Biologist in electronic format and in any other format they specify.
If a consultant provides a final report, it is recommended that the Grantee provide the DNR Biologist with a draft for comment on report adequacy prior to making a final payment to the consultant. Include electronic copy of the final report along with or prior to submission of grantee's final payment request.
