BUTTERNUT-FRANKLIN LAKES ASSOC INC: PREV-I-LIDS for Butternut and Franklin Lakes

Purpose

The Butternut-Franklin Lake Association, Inc. is sponsoring a project to utilize an Internet Landing Installed Device Sensor (I-LIDS), automated boat monitoring system, to prevent the spread of AIS, at the Butternut and Franklin Lake boat launches. Activities: 1) Install two I-LIDS manufactured by Environmental Sentry Protection, LLC (ESP) in May 2025, 2) Utilize two I-LIDS from May 1st to October 31st yearly, for up to 6+ years, Activity description 3) Up to 500, or more of these stored videos will be reviewed by ESP staff or Lake Association volunteers monthly Deliverables: 1) ESP issued an end of season report listing the number of videos captured, number of videos reviewed, and any violations seen and reported. Conditions: 1) Provide land use agreement between Grantee and the property owner before purchase and installation of ILIDS unit to your Environmental Grants Specialist. 2) 200 hours of watercraft inspection time is required during the tenure of this project funded under CBCW161725. Data, reports, surveys, and supporting information, including photos, maps and GIS data, must be submitted to the DNR Biologist in electronic format and in any other format they specify.
