OZAUKEE COUNTY: RES - Mineral Springs Creek Resiliency and Habitat Restoration

Purpose

Ozaukee County P&P Dept. is sponsoring a project to restore a degraded stream and riparian corridor on Mineral Springs Creek in the City of Port Washington. Activities: 1) Utilizing appropriate NRCS restoration practices, complete final design and obtain required local, state, and federal permits. 2) Per application, plan, and permits, conduct activities necessary to restore approx. 910 feet of stream channel 3) Per application and permits, conduct native vegetation (seeding, plantings, tree plantings, shrubs) restoration in project area. Deliverables: 1) Regulatory permits and supporting information per application. 2) Construct/restore 910 feet of stream channel. 3) Restore disturbed areas through native seeding and tree shrub planting. 4) Submit Final Report summarizing activites conducted under this grant. Conditions: 1) Final design shall follow NRCS design standards. 2) Provide to the Department in electronic form a Final Report, being a written summary and providing supporting information regarding deliverables and outcomes as described in Application. It is recommend that a draft be shared with the Department prior to final submittal. This scope summarizes details provided in the application and does not negate tasks and/or deliverables described therein. Data, reports, surveys, and supporting information, including photos, maps and GIS data, must be submitted to the DNR Biologist in electronic format and in any other format they specify.
