VILLAGE OF FONTANA: RES - Lake Shore Drive Ravine Stabilization

Purpose
The Village of Fontana is sponsoring a project to install a 5 step structure including four pools within a ravine that is a tributary to Geneva Lake. Activities: 1) Grading approximately 2500 square feet of the ravine; 2) Installation of a 5 step pool structure within the ravine; and 3) revegetation of the ravine utilizing seed mixes. Deliverables: 1) A photo essay showing before, during and after construction pictures and 2) a written log describing major construction steps. Conditions: 1) Design shall follow NRCS design standard 638. 2) Enter into land use agreements containing a 20-year operation and maintenance plan for activities conducted on properties not owned by the Grantee and provide copy of these agreements recorded at the County Register of Deeds office prior to requesting final reimbursement. 3) With each reimbursement request grantee must provide: a list of practices to reduce nonpoint source pollution installed since during the period for which you are seeking reimbursement and a 1-2 paragraph description of project status, including project milestones, accomplishments, and roadblocks encountered. 4) Provide DNR Biologist with draft version of the final report for review. This scope summarizes details provided in the application and does not negate tasks and/or deliverables described therein. Data, reports, surveys, and supporting information, including photos, maps and GIS data, must be submitted to the DNR Biologist in electronic format and in any other format they specify.
