BAAP Streams Biotic Inventory SCR_06_CMP12

Purpose

This is a Tier II Special Project to monitor several streams; WBICs: 1259400, 5570743, and a created wetland pond with no WBIC on the Badger Army Ammunition Plant (BAAP) site that have not been monitored by the Department and have no use designations associated with them. The purpose of the study is to determine use designations as part of a much larger WDNR biotic inventory of the BAAP site. Fish, quantitative habitat, macroinvertebrates and water quality (grab flows, temp, do pH, conductivity) will be collected, and evaluated. This is a cooperative project with the Fish Management (SFR funds) - Poynette Team.

Objective

Project Justification: An investigation is necessary to determine if these streams currently support or have the potential to support fish and macroinvertebrates. The investigation will help define if there are habitat or water quality limitations, and will be useful in making fish and water resources management recommendations.

Outcome

Performance Measures: 1) Number of sample sites associated with the project = 3. 2) Number of sampling events associated with project=3. 3) Estimated date when sample collection will be complete=November 2011. 4) Estimated date when all data will be entered into appropriate database =January 2012. 5) Estimated date when final report will be complete= March 2012.
