Project RED Training Session 04/25/2009

Purpose

A Project RED (riverine early detectors) training will be held from8:00am to12:00 at the Parkside School in Wautoma (300 N. 16th Street,Wautoma WI). Project RED volunteers will be taught to identify 15invasive species that threaten the health of Wisconsin’s rivers and streams. Volunteers will also learn how to verify their findings andhow to use a GPS unit and online database to map and report them.Volunteers are asked to use these skills to monitor a river of theirchoice twice a summer at their convenience for invasives.
