Purpose
Where: North Lakeland Discovery Center Manitowish Waters When: Comingsoon Natural Lakes Association Contact Ron Gebhard atlauron@centurytel.net Description of workshops: The Citizen LakeMonitoring Network Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) monitoring workshopspeakers provide details on aquatic invasive species identification andlife cycles; instructions on how to organize an effective monitoringteam; where and when to look for the invasives; as well as what to doif you suspect that you have found an invasive plant or animal. Mostworkshops will offer hands-on training for invasive speciesidentification. Workshop hosts will offer participants a monitoring kitat no charge (one free kit per lake). Additional kits and supplieshelpful in assisting you in collection and identification of the plantsand animals may be offered “for sale” at the workshops.
