Purpose
The Amnicon-Dowling Lake Management District is sponsoring a AIS prevention and education project to complete an aquatic plant management plan for both lakes including a point intercept (PI) plant study, paleocore study, expanded CLMN monitoring, Purple Loosestrife management, training, public awareness, lake user survey, and monitoring for invasive plants.
Deliverables include a comprehensive report with: 1) Summary of program accomplishments/progress; 2) Watercraft inspection report including time & number of people reached; 3) Report on expanded Citizen Lake Monitoring; results entered into the SWIMS database; 4) Report on early season CLP study and late season PI study; 5) Report on paleocore studies; 6) Report on PL management; 7) Verification of workshops and/or training such as agendas and attendance lists; 8) Details on public outreach with copies of project educational materials; 9) Report on monitoring observations of any detected invasive species with appropriate maps; 10) Aquatic Plant Management Plan; 11) AIS related materials generated or paid for by this grant.
Special project conditions: WDNR\2019s Aquatic Plant Management in Wisconsin guidance should be followed for point-intercept and/or aquatic management plan development. The sponsor shall immediately contact the DNR if a new aquatic invasive species is found.
This scope summarizes details provided in the application and does not negate tasks/deliverables described therein. Data, records, and reports, including GIS-based maps and digital images, must be submitted to the Department in a format specified by the AIS Coordinator. It is recommended that Grantee provide AIS Coordinator with a draft final report. If consultant is to provide final report, it is recommended that Grantee provide the AIS Coordinator with a draft for comment on report adequacy prior to making final payment to the consultant. The DNR shall receive a paper and electronic copy of the final report.
