The Town of Spider Lake is sponsoring a project to review shore land zoning ordinances adopted by Sawyer County, Town of Spider Lake, new guidelines in NR 115 and Senate Bill 472. Clarification, interpretation and organization of these regulations are necessary in order for the content to be user friendly. The Town of Spider Lake will amend their land use ordinances to ensure that the town\2019s shore-land ordinances continue to comply or be more restrictive with requirements in NR 115, Sawyer County Zoning Shore land-Wetland protection Ordinance and Senate Bill 472.
Project goals includes: 1) Incorporate provisions required by NR 115, Sawyer County, and Senate Bill 472 into town regulations; 2) Determine legal ramifications of any revisions to the Town ordinance; 3) Educate the Township concerning changes and revisions of the Town of Spider Lake Shore Land Zoning Ordinance; 4) Conduct periodic compliance inspections to evaluate the effectiveness of the updated ordinance; 5) Assess and revise as necessary provisions in the Town\2019s Comprehensive Land Use Plan.
