Assessment package for watershed planning.
Water Quality Planning
All the named streams in this watershed support trout populations, primarily brook trout. Most are small and flashy, subject to siltation and beaver activity. The management boundaries of this watershed have been slightly reconfigured since the last plan. The Bad River reach is no longer treated as part of this watershed and has been included within the boundaries of the Upper and Lower Bad River watersheds. This watershed's management boundaries now only include Tyler Forks and its tributaries. Much of the land is in county ownership and there are no WPDES-permitted discharges in the watershed. We have little data on any of the streams in this watershed.
Water Quality Planning
Plan was drafted in 2015 and should be reviewed for finalization.
Monitor Targeted Watershed Area (TWA)
We propose to collect biological information (fish/bugs) and quantitative habitat and temperature on 14 TBD sites in the Tyler Forks River Watershed and part of the Upper Bad River Watershed. Up to 6 more TBD (for a total of approximately 20) sites may be added to the project depending on field conditions and site access
