OUTAGAMIE COUNTY: Preisler Manure Management

Purpose

To cost-share installation of manure management systems in response to existing overflows of agricultural runoff containing nutrients, bacteria and other pathogenic organisms affecting Black Otter Creek and the Wolf River Watershed and to address violations of the NR 151 Agricultural Performance Standards and Prohibitions relating to: manure storage facilities-new/significant alterations, manure storage facilities-existing failing/leaking, process wastewater handling, clean water diversions, nutrient management, prevention of overflow from manure storage facilities, and prevention of direct runoff from a feedlot or stored manure into waters of the state. Amendment #2 moves $5,000 to pay for repairs to cracks in the concrete of the manure storage facility.
