This project is an installation of nonpoint source best management practices to contribute to the restoration of Wisconsin�s waters and was funded by the 319 grant. Specifically, the grantee will implement: closure of a manure storage unit in response to existing overflows of agricultural runoff containing nutrients, bacteria and other pathogenic organisms affecting adjacent wetlands, Stony Creek, and a Source Water Area for the City of Green Bay drinking water system and to address violations of the NR 151 Agricultural Performance Standards and Prohibitions relating to: manure storage facilities-closure, manure storage facilities-existing failing/leaking, prevention of overflow from manure storage facilities, and prevention of direct runoff from a feedlot or stored manure.
