Half Moon Lake Protection and Rehabilitation District is sponsoring a large scale lake planning grant to study Half Moon Lake, in Lincoln County. The project will focus on developing a Lake Management Plan (LMP) for Half Moon Lake. Project activities include: 1) Stakeholder participation \2013 stakeholder survey, planning meetings (up to 2), kick-off meeting, wrap-up meeting, news release(s), and newsletter article; 2) Water quality sampling and analysis; 3) Watershed assessment and P load modeling; 4) Paleolimnological sampling; 5) Fisheries assessment; 6) Shoreline and coarse woody habitat assessment; 7) Professional Dreissena monitoring; 8) Aquatic plant surveys (Early season AIS survey, PI survey analysis, CLP assessment, community mapping, substrate mapping); 9) Data analysis; 10) Develop LMP.
