WAUPACA COUNTY: Pigeon Lake NWQI Project

Purpose

to cost-share installation of barnyard and manure management best management practices to provide runoff management protection in compliance with the Agricultural Performance Standards and Prohibitions involving manure storage facilities-new/significant alterations, process wastewater handling, clean water diversions, nutrient management, phosphorus index, and prevention of direct runoff from a feedlot or stored manure into waters of the state, per the TRM Grant Program Small-Scale Agricultural Application titled Pigeon Lake-Riesenberg Farm Project and submitted in 2013.

This project is a landowner installation of nonpoint source best management practices to contribute to the restoration of Wisconsin�s waters and was funded by the 319 grant. Specifically, the grantee will implement: installation of barnyard and manure management best management practices to provide runoff management protection in compliance with the Agricultural Performance Standards and Prohibitions involving manure storage facilities-new/significant alterations, process wastewater handling, clean water diversions, nutrient management, phosphorus index, and prevention of direct runoff from a feedlot or stored manure into waters of the state.
