Lakes Grant
Large Scale Lake Planning
LPL-1551-14
2014
Complete
Water quality assessment was performed which had good to excellent results. 31 species of native aquatic plants were found. Residents did complain of an over-abundance of common waterweed and leafy pondweed, and if they wish, they can manually remove them, but they are healthy and abundant natural species so they aren't considered a bother by the investigators. One problem is anoxia in the winter due to the ice cover and digestion of dead plant material by bacteria, producing CO2.
