WASHINGTON COUNTY: Moritz Clean Water Project

Purpose

The grantee will implement a barnyard runoff control system, access roads and cattle crossings, animal trails and walkways, diversions, grade stabilization, heavy use area protection, roofing, roof runoff systems, a sediment basin, underground outlets, waterway systems, and livestock fencing to address the following NR 151 Agricultural Performance Standards and Prohibitions: clean water diversions, prevention of unconfined manure piles in water quality management, prevention of direct runoff from a feedlot or stored manure into waters of the state, prevention of unlimited livestock access to waters of the state, and remedy discharges of manure, sediment and phosphorus in runoff entering waters of the state.
