BURNETT COUNTY LAND CONSERVATION DEPARTMENT: LCO-Burnett & Polk Counties Water Quality Tracking

Purpose

Burnett County Land & Water Conservation Department is partnering with Polk County Land & Water Resources to develop a georeferenced compliance tracking system, including tablet purchase, set-up service and testing. Tracking components include conservation practices, AIS monitoring and control, dams, non-metallic mines, and other lake & river management activities plus the means to analyze the data at the lake and county scale. The database should not duplicate SWIMS but rather should be formatted in a way that data can easily be shared between systems. Deliverables include: tracking system database (weblink), results of the tracking (e.g. BMP installation numbers, locations, and calculated P reductions), examples of forms developed, a load reduction calculator, and annual progress reports. The specific objectives, metrics, and deliverables for the listed activities are included in the application and supporting materials, and this scope is not intended to replace or supersede those documents.
