Summary of Park Lake County Park shoreline restoration project; riprap, native plants and conservation tour stop

Columbia County is sponsoring a project to reconstruct the shoreline at the Park Lake boat launch on Highway 44. This will be a comprehensive restoration project with multiple elements. Project final deliverables include: photo-documentation of project with captions, Specific project activities include: 1) armor 160 feet of shoreline where it\2019s necessary to stabilize with riprap, which will then be backfilled with soil and planted with native species plugs; 2) install 13 natives species plantings per map/plan with seed and plugs, mulch and water; 3) Project will be shared via local media, and the site will become a stop on the Columbia Co. conservation tour.
