LUMBERJACK RC&D COUNCIL: Continued Reconnaissance of Butterfly Dock in Gillett

Purpose

The Lumberjack RC&D is sponsoring a project to comprehensively respond to population of butterfly dock, an NR40 prohibited species, in Oconto County. Project final deliverables include: all data collected; a final report to include summary of control efforts and size of area treated, list of community education and outreach efforts, log of workshop participants, list of species included in restoration, and before and after photos of successfully restored streambank. Specific project activities include: 1) Reconnaissance monitoring; 2) Reporting; 3) Control work; 4) Outreach to landowners and nearby landowners, businesses, and local clubs including one-on-one conversations and a formal workshop; 5) Creation of a restoration plan; 6) Implementation of restoration plan. Special Conditions: 1) Data must be entered into SWIMS database; 2) Volunteer lists, equipment use lists and signatures shall be maintained for reporting in kind volunteer labor and equipment; 3) Final report should build off of the information and format of the Response Framework Report provided on 12/14/2020. This scope summarizes the project detail provided in the application and does not negate tasks/deliverables described therein. Data, records, and reports, including GIS-based maps, and digital images, must be submitted to the Department in a format specified by the regional AIS Coordinator.
