ROOT-PIKE WATERSHED INITIATIVE NETWORK: RES - Neumiller Woods Wetland Improvements: Phase Two

Purpose

Root-Pike Watershed Initiative Network is sponsoring a project to create a .61 acre wetland scrape at Neumiller Woods, seeking to improve diversity of 2 acres of upland vegetation to amplify the pollutant processing abilities of the native landscape. Funding from the Surface Water Program will support maintenance and proper establishment of native vegetation. Activities: Overall, the goal is to conduct three years of initial post-installation maintenance to ensure native vegetation installed in wetland scrapes and upland areas establishes properly. Grant RM10724 funds will support Year 1 maintenance activities utilizing NRCS Standard 659. Deliverables: 1) A written summary of activities conducted under this grant, delivered in electronic format and including restoration photographs.
