Grant Awarded
The Village of Belleville proposes, as part of a whole-lake restoration project, to separate Lake Belle View from the Sugar River by construction of an earthen berm on the western side of the lake. This separation berm will result in a vast reduction in the amount of water from the Sugar River in the lake's water budget, and therefore will result in water quality and habitat improvements from reduction in nutrients and carp.
