WCWRPC The City of Altoona submitted this request to eliminate an environmentally sensitive area of slopes greater than 20% from portions of a 6.59 acre site. The site is located south of Briar Lane, east of 3rd Street E. and north of N. Hillcrest within the City of Altoona.

WCWRPC The amendment would update the sewer service area by eliminating environmentally sensitive areas with slopes greater than 20% from portions of a 8.49 acre site. Site is the Hillcrest Greens Development, located south of US Highway 12 in the City of Altoona.

City of Eau Claire is requesting review and approval of a Type IV Plan Amendment for residential development in an area with steep slopes in excess of 20%. WCWRPC requests WDNR assistance in the cooperative review. Recommendations from the review will be provided by WCWRPC to the MPO for review and recommendation. MPO Technical Advisory Committee meets on April 6, if cooperative review complete. Full MPO meets on May 4.

This plan has been financed through a Section 205 (j) Federal Areawide Water Quality planning grant from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, passed through the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. A grant agreement was entered into by the West Central Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission and the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources for the purpose of developing the Chippewa Fall/Eau Claire Area municipal point source element of the State's Areawide Water Quality Management Plan.
