POLK COUNTY LWRD: Mabry Manure Storage

Purpose

To cost-share installation of manure management systems in response to existing overflows affecting Balsam Branch of agricultural runoff containing nutrients, bacteria and other pathogenic organisms and to address violations of the NR 151 Agricultural Performance Standards and Prohibitions relating to: manure storage facilities-new/significant alterations, manure storage facilities-closure, manure storage facilities-existing failing/leaking, prevention of overflow from manure storage facilities, prevention of unconfined manure piles in water quality management areas, and prevention of direct runoff from a feedlot or stored manure into waters of the state.
