OCONTO COUNTY: Bernard Matczak

Purpose

to cost-share land owner installation of manure management systems to enable the farm operation to meet the respective agricultural performance standards and prohibitions established in NR 151 relating to manure storage facilities-new/significant alterations, manure storage facilities-closure, and process wastewater handling, per the TRM Grant Program Small-Scale Agricultural Application titled Bernard Matczak and submitted in 2013.

Outcome

Mr. Matczak is selling his dairy herd and will no longer be installing the BMPs that are listed on his contract and the funds will not be used for other projects.

Specifically, the grantee will implement: installation of manure management systems to enable the farm operation to meet the respective agricultural performance standards and prohibitions established in NR 151 relating to manure storage facilities-new/significant alterations, manure storage facilities-closure, and process wastewater handling.
