MARINETTE COUNTY: Seefeldt Farm Manure Management

Purpose

to cost-share manure management systems to enable the dairy facility to control feedlot runoff and eliminate winter spreading, to protect the Little River, and to address the NR 151 Agricultural Performance Standards and Prohibitions relating to manure storage facilities-new/significant alterations, manure storage facilities-closure, and prevention of direct runoff from a feedlot or stored manure into waters of the state, per the TRM Grant Program Small-Scale Agricultural Application titled Seefeldt Farm Manure Management and submitted in 2013.

Specifically, the grantee will implement: a manure storage system and roofing to remedy discharges of manure, sediment and phosphorus in runoff.
