DOUGLAS COUNTY: Douglas County Lakes Classification Plan & Proposal Zoning

Purpose

Douglas County proposes to classify all inland lakes in the county. The following criteria will be included: lake area, lake type, watershed, size, shoreline development factor and development density. The Department of Natural Resources will be provided with both a paper copy and an electronic copy of the final report. The project results will be disseminated to the public by fact sheet reports that are available at the public meeting(s) and County Zoninig and UW-Extension Offices. The information will also be distributed by local newspaper articles.
