This project will focus on 5 areas of the Smart Growth compliant comprehensive plan. Project activities will include: collecting additional water quality, public opinion and regulatory data, mapping of resources and influencing factors, outlining proposed changes to regulatory management tools and generate proposals for new management tools. The project will also strive to develop a public consensus around the project and proposed changes to management tools for the county inland lakes and rivers. Specific deliverables for this project include a final report on activities and accomplishments of the project. (Items completed under previous grants will not be funded or used as accomplishments as a part of this proejct.) The Department of Natural Resources will be provided with both a paper copy and an electronic copy of the final report. The project results will be disseminated to the public by newsletter(s), public meeting(s), and/or local newspaper articles.
