Langlade County, in cooperation with the county Land Conservation Department, will conduct a shoreland restoration project to continue and improve on past efforts and funding acquired through a previous lake protection grant. The project includes the following: 1) funds shoreland protection specialist, 2) assist property owners with shoreland restoration plans, 3) monitor shoreland restoration sites, 4) implement cost sharing program with LCD, 5) update shoreland protection web page, 6) update and print "Caring for Our Shores", 7) continue shoreland friends program 8) maintain and enhance shoreland restoration demonstration sites, 9) continue shoreland protection information/education program, 10) develop marketing strategies.
