Purpose
Langlade County Waterways Association, Inc. is sponsoring an AIS EPP grant to be completed by December 31, 2008. The project will focus on AIS education and monitoring.
Project activities include: 1) Recruit volunteers to survey waterbodies and roadsides for AIS in Langlade County; 2) Entry of monitoring Forms 3200-124 and/or Forms 3200-130 onto Dept website; 3) Revitalize the Purple Loosestrife Task Force; 4) Develop educational materials (brochure, booth, Shoppers Guide ad, poster); 5) Disseminate AIS information to businesses, local associations, and newsletter article(s).
Project deliverables include: 1) Completed entry of monitoring Forms 3200-124 and/or Forms 3200-130 onto Dept website; 2) Assembled AIS information, newsletter article(s), and above mentioned educational materials; 3) Final report summarizing AIS monitoring and educational activities.
Specific Conditions for this project: Final report needs Dept review and approval.
WDNR Lakes Management Coordinator will be provided with an electronic (pdf or word) and hard copy of final report, samples of assembled AIS information, and newsletter article(s).
