DANE COUNTY: Surface Water User Survey Design-Dane Co Lakes

Purpose

Dane County Lakes and Watershed Commission proposes to develop comprehensive lake user surveys for all Dane County lakes and streams that will, in the future, allow the assessment of the economic importance of lake and stream use, help develop a recreational use plan, and identify user conflicts. The project activities are to hire a consultant to develop a survey plan to include as many user types as possible, and identify the best methods to obtain a high response rate. Deliverables for this grant include a survey plan. The DNR will be provided with both a paper copy and an electronic copy of the final report. The project results will be disseminated to the public by posting on the internet, and will be available upon request.
