DANE COUNTY: Water Rec Study-Implementation of intercept Surveys

Purpose

Dane County proposes to conduct a survey of about 800 users of Dane County waters at the time people are out, using the waters for recreation and enjoyment. The survey has already been developed in a prior project, and is the second of three surveys. The data gathered will assist in understanding the economic importance of surface waters to the region in order to help plan recreational management. The data analysis and planning will occur via future grants. The final report will consist of a summary of efforts written by the UW River Falls Survey Research Center partners, and shared on the Dane County website.
