This project is an installation of nonpoint source best management practices to contribute to the restoration of Wisconsin�s waters and was funded by the 319 grant. Specifically, the grantee will cost share development of a new storm water management plan as part of a sustainable land use plan for the Middleton Beach Neighborhood in the City of Middleton, a Green Tier Legacy Community. Goals are to reduce discharges of sediment and phosphorus to Lake Mendota. Practices to be considered include wetland restoration and a "Green Street" design including porous pavement draining to a bio-retention cell, which will, in turn, drain to a grassed swale, per the UNPS & SW Program Planning Grant Application titled Middleton Beach Neighborhood Sustainable Land Use and Storm Water Management Plan and submitted in 2013.
