Lake Onalaska Protection & Rehab District: Direct Watershed Drainage Impact On Constructed Fisheries Habitat In Lake Onalaska:
The Lake Onalaska Protection and Rehabilitation District is sponsoring a project to quantify deep water habitat loss and link habitat loss to high sediment discharge events in the adjacent Halfway Creek watershed.
Project final deliverables include: all data collected, agendas and minutes for planning meetings, and a report that includes methodologies and results.
Specific project activities include:
Bathymetric survey of fish overwintering habitat
Halfway Creek basic hydrology during high-discharge events at potential future gauging sites
Approximately four watershed tour topics
Special Conditions: WDNR will be provided electronic and hard copies of data and reports/plans generated as a result of this project.
This scope summarizes the project detail provided in the application and does not negate tasks/deliverables described therein. Data, records, and reports, including GIS-based maps, and digital images, must be submitted to the Department in a format specified by the regional Lake Biologist.
If consultant is to provide final report, it is recommended that Grantee provide DNR Lake Coordinator with a draft for comment on report adequacy prior to making final payment to the consultant. DNR to receive both paper and electronic .pdf copies of the final report along with, or prior to submission of grantee\2019s final payment request.

Neshonoc P & R District: Lake Neshonoc Sediment Trap Evaluation Study: The consultant will evaluate two sediment trap locations. Preliminary designs for each trp, including size, depth, volume, and location of each trap, shall be provided on engineering drawings. The two sediment cores and four sediment analyses must betaken from the sediment trap location that will be constructed by the lake district. Sediment analyses parameters which have been provided to the consultant will be included in the analyses. Evaluate spoil areas for the dredged and excavated materials.Preliminary engineering designs shall be provided for the dredge spoil area. An interim report shall be provided to the lake district and DNR providing all information necessary for the lake district to evaluate which sediment trap alternative providesthe most benefit. This report will be due 5/1/92. Estimate cost of constructing traps in two locations. Information will be disseminated to the public by public meetings, summary report mailings, and local newspaper articles. Project results will bereposited at: None provided.

Lake Neshonoc P & R District: Lake Neshonoc Dredge Spoil Containment Site Study-Part 1: Lake Neshonoc Protection and Rehabilitation District proposes to conduct the following activities on the Lake Neshonoc Project to find a feasible alternative containment site: 1)Develop a one foot contour map of the dredge spoil containment area. 2) Locate site to discharge carrage water to the LaCrosse River. 3) Cost estimate to relocate NSP power line. 4) Coordinate all governing permits. 5) Request permission to use railroad right of way for carriage of discharge water.

City Of La Crosse: La Crosse River Marsh Comprehensive Watershed Complex: La Crosse Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department is sponsoring a project to complete hydrologic/hydraulic analysis of the La Crosse Marsh Complex and develop an implementation plan La Crosse Parks, Rec & Forestry Department is sponsoring a project to complete hydrologic/hydraulic analysis of the La Crosse Marsh Complex and develop a plan to stabilize the marsh hydrology, maintain an effective low maintenance trail system, reduce erosion, improve water quality and restore marsh habitat and ecosystems by improving invasive species control and reducing loss of forest/native vegetation due to persistent high water.
Deliverables: 1) Prepare a preliminary hydrologic/hydrualic analysis focused on identifying impediments to natural flow and drainage 2) Develop implementation plan to improve connections and reduce the duration and extent of open water within the marsh based on collected data 3)Implementation plan will include short and long term solutions to adding resiliency to trails, preventing erosion, improve habitat and water quality of the marsh.
Conditions: 1) WDNR review of the draft of the hydrologic/hydraulic analysis and implementation plan; 2) WDNR will be provided electronic and hard copies of data and reports/plans generated as a result of this project. 3) All data generated must be entered into the DNR SWIMS database 4) All sampling completed with Department approved protocols.
If a consultant provides the final report, the Grantee should provide the DNR Stream Biologist with a draft for comment on the adequacy of the report prior to final paymetn to the consultant. DNR is to reciev both paper and electronic .pdf copies of the final report along with or prior to submission of the grantee's final payment
