Little Green Lake P & R District: Little Green Lake Ais Control Project: SCOPE AMENDMENT: The Little Green Lake Protection and Rehabilitation District proposes to control Curly-leaf pondweed (CLP) and Eurasian water-milfoil (EWM) through chemical treatment and preventative measures in Little Green Lake during the period 2007 - 2012 The project elements and deliverables are specified in the Little Green Protection and Rehabilitation District\2019s Aquatic Invasive Species Control Grant Application, dated July 18, 2006. Green Lake Sanitary District: Lmi-Df-Big Green Lake Loading Feasibility Study: The Green Lake Sanitary District proposes to conduct a feasibility study to assess nutrient loadings on Big Green Lake. The project will lay the foundation for reducing nutrient and sediment loads with the lake andits tributaries. Little Green Lake P & R District: Res-Little Green Lake Destratification Project: The Little Green Lake Protection & Rehabilitation District proposes to install a circulation system consisting of compressors, air delivery lines, filter system, and a housing structure. The circulation system is designed to ensure sufficient oxygen concentrations in the deep-water areas of the lake. Oxygen in deep-water areas of the lake will reduce the release of phosphorous from the lake sediment and decrease the level of lake fertilization. This will result in improved water clarity and algae conditions thereby improving water quality conditions for recreation and aesthetics.

Local resources to be provided include volunteer services during installatiotn, volunteer services regarding project management, and financial contribution from Green Lake County.

Green Lake Sanitary District: Acq-Green Lake (Guskey) Land Acquisition: The Green Lake Sanitary District proposes to purchase 30 acres of land along Silver Creek which drains directly into Big Green Lake to be used as nonpoint source abatement.

Green Lake Sanitary District: Acq-Green Lake Conservancy Wick Rd (Specht) Land Acquisition: The Green Lake Conservancy Foundation proposes to purchase 3.21 acres of land along Wick Road known as the Specht property for conservancy purposes.

Green Lake Sanitary District: Acq-Green Lake Land Acquisition (Mitchell'S Glen): The Green Lake Sanitary District proposes to purchase 12 acres of land along Big Green Lake known as the Mitchell's Glen parcel.

Little Green Lake P & R District: Little Green Lake Usgs Water Quality Monitoring: Water quality monitoring by the U.S. Geological Survey for 1991 through 1996. Sampling parameters are as described in table 1 of the application. An annual report will be submitted after each year of monitoring. Project includes preparation of a finalreport and a formal presentation to the public in 1996. Data reporting format to be worked out in consultation with Mark Sesing, DNR district (area) contact.Information to be disseminated to the public by newsletter mailings, entire report mailings, public meetings and local newspaper articles.Repositories for project results: City Hall, Markesan, WI, 53946.

Little Green Lake Protection & Rehab. Dist.: Little Green Lake Management Planning: Continue to collect water quality data in 1993. Identify any trends.Conduct an aquatic plant survey.Preserve identified plant samples.Conduct a watershed inventory to identify nonpoint pollution sources, sediment loads and nutrients delivered to surface waters.Information will be disseminated to the public by newsletter, fact sheet, local newsletter articles, and public meetings. Project results will be reposited at the City Hall in Markesan, WI.

Little Green Lake Protection & Rehab. Dist.: Little Green Lake Management Planning: The Little Green Lake Protection and Rehabilitation District proposes to develop a lake management plan for Little Green Lake. Project activities include 1) conduct a needs analysis of the lake's problems through a lake residents' opinion survey, augmented by interviews, focus groups, public meetings with lake residents, local business people, and fishing club members, 2) prioritize identified problems, and 3) analyze alternative solutions to prioritized problems. The Department of Natural Resources will be provided with a paper copy and an electronic copy of the lake management plan. The project results will be disseminated to the general public by news letter, fact sheets distributed, public meetings, local newspaper article and a comprehensive Management Plan will be also available at Caesticker Public Library, Green Lake & Markesan Public Libraries and Markesan City Hall.

Little Green Lake Protection & Rehab. Dist.: Little Green Lake Water Quality & Sediment Monitoring: The Little Green Lake Protection and Rehabilitation District proposes to contract with the US Geological Survey to monitor the water quality and lake-bed sediment chemistry of Little Green Lake. The following parameters will be included in the study: 1)Water chemistry 2) Phosphorus 3) Dissolved oxygen, tempurature & PH 4) Clarity (secchi disk readings) 5) Chorophyll 6) Lake levels. An annual report will include lake stage flucations, lake depth profiles, chemical constituents and water quality conditions. A final report will summarize all the years of study. The Department of Natural Resources will be provided with both a papercopy and an electronic copy of the final report. The project results will be disseminated to the general public bynewsletter mailing, public meeting,summary report mailing, local newspaper articles, TV/radio spots and a poster display. Copies of the reports will also be available at Markesan City Hall and Markesan Library.

Little Green Lake Protection & Rehab. Dist.: Little Green Lake Watershed Land Use And Stormwater Mangmt.: The Little Green Lake Protection & Rehabilitation District proposes to develop a watershed land use plan with a stormwater analysis component for Little Green Lake along with a facilities plan that addresses the possible extension of sewer service from the City of Markesan. The land use project activities include the following: 1) establish goals for land use and development; 2) inventory and analyze Watershed physical characteristics and natural resources; 3) determine trends and projections in population & land use; 4) review current land use regulations; 5) recommend future land use patterns; 6) recommend Watershed land use & water quality strategies; and 7) work with District Board to create an action plan for implementation. To support the planning activities described above, collect and/or create the data and GIS mapping needed to 1) identify land parcels within the watershed; 2) evaluate land use impacts; 3) determine soil suitability for basements and septic systems; 4) develop a digital elevation model that will be used with USGS information to analyze drainage patters; and 5) analyze environmentally sensitive areas. The facilities plan project activities include the following: 1) background information, 2) land use/population projections; 3) alternative sewer extension scenarios; 4) recommendations, and 5) maps. A comprehensive watershed land use plan and a facilities plan with be the final products of this project. The DNR will be provided with paper copies and electronic copies of the final report. The project results will be disseminated to the public by public meeting(s) and newsletter mailings with copies of the project report available at Caesticker Public Library, Green Lake/markesan Public Library and Markesan City Hall.

Little Green Lake Protection & Rehab. Dist.: Little Green Lake Phosphorous Load Study: The Little Green Lake proposal is for the development of a limited phosphorous budget. These activities will develop the final product which is a P budget report that will quantify P loads from external and internal sources: 1) Review existing lake and watershed data, including discharge data from outlet, 2) Determine watershed P loading using existing watershed inventory data as input into a nutrient delivery model agreed to jointly by DNR and Sponsor, and 3) Apply a lake model to estimate the relative importance of external vs internal loading and lake response to P loading reductions. The DNR will be provided with two paper copies and an electronic copy of the report. The project results will be disseminated to the public by public meetings, press release, summary brochure, newsletter, and a radio spot. Local cost share will be augmented by a donation from the Little Green Association.

Little Green Lake Protection & Rehab. Dist.: Little Green Lake Aquatic Plant Mgt Plan: The Little Green Lake proposal is for the development of an Aquatic Plant Management Plan. These activities will develop the final product which is an APM plan: 1) Goals and objectives development, 2) Review existing data and information, 3) Problem analysis, 4) Harvesting plan development, and 5) Aquatic plant restoration potential review. The DNR will be provided with two paper copies and an electronic copy of the report. The project results will be disseminated to the public by public meetings, press release, summary brochure, newsletter, and a radio spot. Local cost share will be augmented with a donation from Little Green Association.

Little Green Lake Protection & Rehab. Dist.: Little Green Lake "P" Management: The Little Green Lake Rotection & Rehabilitation District proposes to develop an implementation plan for the installation of an artificial circulation system. Project deliverables include a statement of goals and objectives, review of existing information, plan development, and a final report. This report will be made public via newsletter, local library, City Hall, and local news media.

The scope is being amended to include pre-installation monitoring of an aeration system by a new intern. The increase in funds ($3,250 state share) will help cover time and travel expenses for the intern.

Green Lake County: Little Green Lake Best Management Practice Site Evaluation: Green Lake County proposes to conduct a multiple site analysis in the Little Green Lake watershed relative to locating the most efficient runoff water retention structures. Each site analysis will include:
1. Soils investigation, 2. breach analysis, 3. landowner participation evaluation. A report will be prepared that summarizes the results of each retention site feasibility analysis and will include specific recommendations detailing watershed pollution abatement strategies.

Little Green Lake P & R District: Little Green Lake Aquatic Restoration Plan: The Little Green Lake P&R District proposes to develop an aquatic restoration plan for their lake. This Plan will include aquatic plant, substrate and shoreland surveys. Information will be developed into an aquatic plant restoration plan.
