Details

The Scuppernong River Watershed lies primarily in Jefferson County, but crosses over the western boundary of Waukesha County and the northern edge of Walworth County in southeastern Wisconsin. The watershed is approximatley 55,957 acres in size and consists of 159 miles of streams and rivers, 310 acres of lakes, and 9,009 acres of wetlands. The watershed is dominated by agriculture (50%) and forests (17%) and is ranked high for nonpoint source issues affecting groundwater.
