BAYFIELD COUNTY: Bayfield County Aquatic Invasive Species Project
Bayfield County is sponsoring a multi-year countywide AIS project/position to implement their updated AIS Strategic Plan. The Coordinator will spend the majority of time/effort on/with Lake Superior, its tributaries, and the associated communities and recreational users. The project will expand the coordinator roles and responsibilities to include serving as the lead for local rapid response efforts.
Project deliverables include the results of the monitoring, planning, control assistance, and education/outreach as described in the application, including all GIS-related data and files, and a project summary report.
Special Conditions: WDNR\2019s Aquatic Plant Management in Wisconsin guidance should be followed for point-intercept survey monitoring and aquatic plant management plan development. The Department may specify other AIS monitoring methods.
The specific objectives, metrics, and deliverables for the listed activities are included in the application and supporting materials, and this scope is not intended to replace or supersede those documents. The Department may request quarterly progress reports.
